  11. Me, too! I love cronyism, politically motivated firings (not just at the state level, but also back in her mayoral days! A two-fer!), a lack of knowledge about the important issues of our time (I LOVE a fresh-faced veep who says she doesn't have an opinion about the Iraq war!), and beauty queens! Awesome pick for your next wife, er, veep, McCain! (Freudian slip! My bad!)

  14. Kelly- Call it whatever you want, Honey, but Sarah Palin has appeal by the pound and there is no spinning that.

  15. Heff- Body double for Mrs. Palin? Now that is an interesting possibility.

I know a guy who works as a double for Dubya. I wonder if I would have to join a union?

  16. Secret Agent Man was quick to point out that she parts her hair on the other side and has bangs.

I may switch parts, but cutting bangs is a deal breaker!

  18. You do look a lot like her- but much prettier. :)

Kelly's comment kinda made me lol because, you know, Obama has so much experience and what not.

  19. You could pass as her cuter younger sister.

Do you know they have a bumber sticker in Alaska that says "Coldest state Hottest Govenor"?

The more I hear about her the more I like her. You go Sarah kick some Obama butt!

  20. Yeah, you guys are right. The fact that the bulk of Sarah Palin's political career has been spent as mayor of a town the size of Fruita totally qualifies her to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. I can just see her sitting down with President Karzai or President Medvedev now: "You know, fellas, I faced some high-pressure situations on the beauty pageant circuit, much like the high-pressure crisis you're facing in the Middle East." Or perhaps: "Well, boys, back when I was on the PTA, I dealt with some sticky conflicts that really apply to the Russia/Georgia conflict." What can I say? She's won me over.

  24. A fellow governor actually said that he would definitely say that as a governor you make more decisions that affect sooooo many people than a senator ever does. He also said he'd venture to say the same even about a mayor.

Obama didn't even bother to show up to more than half of the votes on the senate. So... would he show up as president?

  25. Not Osama, er, Obama in 08September 2, 2008 at 9:07 PM

For anyone interested: Palin served on City Council from 1992-1996, she was then Mayor of the city from 1996-2002. She ran for Lt. Governor in 02 and lost, but then served as Ethics Commissioner on the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission until she resigned by outing the lack of ethics on that very commission. She ran for Alaska Governor in 2006 and won.

  26. Do you think we should support a women who decides to put her career before her pregnant 17 year old daughter and a downs syndrome new baby boy?? Will she put her job before the kids or her kids before the job?

  27. Interesting...what is Obama putting before a presidency? Surely not his children....
Poor Governor Palin, already a bad choice because CLEARLY she's a bad mom by our estimation.

I bet that louse of a woman wasn't even on the PTA. How will her children ever stand a chance? How will this COUNTRY stand a chance?

Whatever. She's beautiful. So are you Annie.

p.s. Who are President Karzai or President Medvedev? Are they beauty pageant judges? I'm so confused! I think I'll go paint my nails....
