Celebrating 4 years and 2 days of blogging without obligation

My four year blogiversary came and went without me noticing. Darn you, Facebook!

I just went back and read some of my posts from the Hot Fruita Mom days. For those of you who have been a follower since then, I am sorry to have wasted your time.

Two blogger parties, a handful of meet-and-greets, and a Home and Garden column later, my blogging habits have changed. I post less, I comment less. Again, darn you Facebook!

I don't know how much longer blogging will be a part of my life. I have trails to hike and laundry to fold and parties to plan. Sometimes I feel like sharing my exploits and sometimes I don't.
If I make it to year five, we will just have to see.

  2. Happy belated anniversary.

And I'm betting this whole blog fad is going to pass away like a fart in the wind anyway.

  3. Give up blogging if you must, but don't give up writing. You're witty, entertaining and your prose is clear and easy to read. You've got a gift with words.

Hopefully the Sentinel is keeping you on as a columnist.

I've joined Facebook but frankly I don't see its appeal other than to touch base with extended family once in a while.

  4. Leigh- You can never have too many Facebook friends. Can you?

M-Cat - I'm begining to feel that way about Twitter.

Anon- Thank you so much. I needed to hear that today.

  5. I haven't been blogging near as long as you have and I'm already feeling this way.

But I do miss a couple of my blog friends that have stopped blogging and Facebooking altogether.

  7. One of the things I love about blogging is that you don't HAVE to do it! You can blog when you feel like it, and about what you want to.
I have always enjoyed reading your blog, since back in the Hot Fruita Moms days, and I continue to enjoy it! I love it when other bloggers don't feel like they have to post every day because it gives all the rest of us permission to keep blogging something fun and not a chore.
I hope you keep blogging because I love reading what you write, but if the time comes for you to move on, I support your decision!
