Mom's sick. Let's make a volcano!

I went to bed early last night with a migraine. I left my three kids alone downstairs. They watched Dancing with the Stars and drew a volcano. It takes up the whole coffee table. They asked me not to put it away while they're at school because they're not done.

What's missing the sacrificial virgin?!

  4. Wow, I wish my kids could entertain themselves like that! Isn't it fun how kids are so proud of their creations!?! What if they ask you to frame it? ;)

I'm hoping that you're feeling better today, Annie! :)

  6. I'd love to keep reading, but Johnny just wiped his ice cream cone on the couch cushion, and I'll have to clean it fast before my husband gets home.

(jennifer b took my comment Annie)

When I read the title I thought the kids literally made a volcano. So my comment (which won't be a repeat of jenifer b's) was: "
hey, at least they had fun!

    TA-DA!!!

  12. Happy Lief Erikson Day. When I read the title of this post, I thought that they built one of those baking soda and vinegar volcanoes. At least this one is a lot cleaner.

At least it was only a paper and crayon volcano!

  17. I do feel better today, thank you.

I'm a little concerned about where I am going to hang this masterpiece.

Little buggers used up a brand new roll of Glue Dots to put the pages together. All you paper craft freaks out there know what I'm talking about.

My only comfort was knowing that they are old enough to answer the phone, bring me an ice pack and tuck each other in. Good kids.

  18. I'm completely impressed with your kids' creativity! :D

The only thing missing is Joe ("Joe vs The Volcano" starring Tom Hanks) who was suffering from a brain cloud, which could be interpreted as a migraine...

So sorry YOU were suffering from a migraine, and I hope the pain is gone by now! :(

  19. I used a Mork and Mindy lunchbox when I was a child. It made me the person I am today.

  20. Sorry I missed it. That's cool that your kids will color. Mine bake cupcakes and leave me the mess ;).

Oh well, since I am not Betty Crocker it's good they are.

  21. I'm totally impressed that your kids were able to start and finish a project like that without doing physical harm to each other. You have good kids. My kids would have gotten into a huge fight and then never finished the project.
