"She's a genius."

My Mini Me is a skinny mini. In my bathroom this morning, I tried to safety pin her skirt so it fit better in the waist. As I worked to secure the pin I accidently poked Mini Me in the arm. I quickly apologized and checked for blood.
She said, "Mom, why can't they give those things a name that tells the truth about them? It shouldn't be called a safety pin."
"What would you call it, Mini Me?"
"I would call it a pokey pin, not a safety pin."

Brillant.

  2. Well, it beats a Hokey Pokey Pin. How would you like to do the Hokey Pokey and turn yourself about with a sharp and pointy instrument?

Awwww, Mini Me has your beauty and wit.

  3. That Mini-Me, so wise beyond her years.

I'm wishing I had to pin my waistbands so they'd fit better. But alas. My waistbands all fit, a little too well sometimes.

  5. Mini Me is wise beyond her years. We have to do a lot of waist-band safety pinning around here for our skinny minis. I guess I don't make those plump, squishy, rolly polly babies. But mine are easy to carry around :)

  6. I can never find any pokey pins around my house. < That's me trying to relate to everyone.

  7. Tell Mini Me that I agree. There is nothing really "safety" about them, if you need to open it to pin it to something.

  8. Well, they are safe until you open the package anyway!
I hope you didn't leave a permanent scar on poor mini me!
