Hubs put the lights up and set them to music last week. Then he unplugged them til Thanksgiving. I am working on the Eagle Court of Honor and then . . . . . the tree. So there will be two crazy ladies.
Girl you are nuts! But I like you any way. I think the main reason why I would not do that is because it drives me nuts that my kids run off with the ornaments and I could not stand dealing with that for more time than I had to.
I'm trying to decide if I want to put mine up before we leave for Utah, or wait till we come back. The day after we get home is 12/1 and it just seems wrong to wait till then...
I'll have to do it sneakily so my no-Christmas-until-after-Thanksgiving hubby doesn't see. :)
Millie, Shazzy is the same stinkin' way. I think that as long as the turkey carcass is sitting in the garbage in the garage, it is time to get the halls decked. Maybe this year I'll just do everything but the tree.
Crazy lady...I just found your blog! I hope it's okay I'm leaving a comment :) As far as I'm concerned (and my kids), Christmas is ALL YEAR! We've been listening to Christmas music since summer, too. If my hubby would let me, my tree would be up too! Smiles, Mindy
but they are so pretty! No wonder she want them up so early!
ReplyDeleteCrazy lady yes....down the street..not so much.

ReplyDeletethe crazy lady on the blog likes the crazy lady down the street!
ReplyDeleteAnd I think I'm improving because I no longer wait 'til the 20th of December to buy a tree...
ReplyDeleteI just dropped by to say hi.

ReplyDeleteGirl you are nuts! But I like you any way. I think the main reason why I would not do that is because it drives me nuts that my kids run off with the ornaments and I could not stand dealing with that for more time than I had to.

ReplyDeleteBefore Thanksgiving...that's crazy. ;)
I remember Thorny Tree Lady had some cool decorations last year.
ReplyDeleteCan I read your blog, Thorny? ::pweez::
I have been there!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a tree up, but I have been listening to Christmas music since August...does that count?
ReplyDeleteBaby B really likes Christmas music.
Is that crazy lady available on weekends? I love my house decked out, but I don't so much love the actual 'decking.'
ReplyDeleteI can pay in chocolate...
Wow! And she let you in the house to take pictures?
ReplyDeleteDear Crazy Lady down the street,
ReplyDeleteCould you at least have waited until the day after Thanksgiving. I think there is a rule that you must first give Thanks!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Will cut you a break this year! I understand your love for christmas. My children are making their want list already.
She must really love Christmas and she is sure organized.

ReplyDeleteHmm...that crazy lady's house looks familiar. :D
ReplyDeleteThey look so beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm singing "Oh Christmas Tree" in my brain right now! :)
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of putting mine up too, so now I feel like it's OK if someone else has done it.
ReplyDeleteThe crazy lady down the street has a living room that looks just like yours....very weird.
ReplyDeletePoor Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteIt is always in Christmas's shadow.
What gorgeous trees!
ReplyDeleteI long for clear lights but I am out voted in my house of men.
Sigh.
Can I move in with you?
