Good Mail and What is Wrong with Me?

My mailbox was really happy this week! Thank you Isaura, Melissa, and Amanda (I ate the Junior Mints and popcorn before I could take a picture of it.)

What is wrong with me? I have no follow-through lately. I can spot treat, wash, dry, and fold the laundry but I can't manage to put it away! I wish I could swap household favors with someone else. I will vacuum. I will clean toilets. I will mop floors. I just need someone to come over and put my laundry away!

  1. I'd good mail myself to your laundry room today, if you'd come clean my toilets!

Your laundry room is so stinkin' cute!:D

  2. I'm the same way with laundry! Maybe it's because it's the last step and that's why it's so hard. I think "heck, at least it's washed" so I lose a little motivation. The dumb thing is that it takes me only minutes to put away, but when I don't, my younger one usually strings it all over his room and I have to wash some of it again. Sorry, no swapping with me, I'm not any better at it! LOL!

Congrats on your fun packages in the mail! Are you and Carronin going to be able to make it to the Blogfest on July 28th? It should be lots of fun! :D

  3. I'm the same way 'xacly!!
I showed you my fortress of solitude and you haven't even commented on it yet, and I'm feeling a little low. I'm very in touch with my feelings.

  4. Nothing's wrong with you. I thought that was how laundry was suppose to be done. I always say I leave it all in the laundry room so the kids don't wear the same outfit over and over again...

  5. I set up a folding table in my bedroom for folding laundry on.

I haven't slept well every since. What was I thinking?

  12. If I weren't in fear of becoming a social pariah in blogworld I would post a picture of my laundry room right now just for you. I get the washing and the drying done and then the laundry sits in piles on the floor (which thus stays remarkably clean) until I have time to fold it.

    Which I never do.

This week one of my less-than-helpful children must have been looking for something particular and those piles now look like a tornado blew through them. It looks like a mountain of windswept laundry.

  15. You're supposed to FOLD it? I just leave it in a huge pile of clean in the laundry room and we go laundry diving to find socks, undies and other needful things.

  16. Oh sure. No gifts for the people who don't know anything about templates. *sigh*

  17. At least it is clean, and you have a door to the laundry room, if it makes you crazy.....just close the door.....see all better...all better.

  18. same problem, different laundry room.

Annie, I know what your problem is...

    Diagnosis: Haven'tdecoratedmylaundryroomyetism

Treatment: Paint that laundry room your favorite bright and cheery color that you may not be daring enough to paint in some other room (like lime green). Decorate it nice and you are sure to keep it spot less! (at least for a little while)

  19. I do that too. I fold the laundry after it's all washed and can't put it away because the babies are napping, or something, and I can't get to their drawers. Then, before I know it, the clothes are all unfolded because when they woke up they decided it was fun to undo my hard work.

  20. My laundry room set up is just like yours.

And like you, my laundry seems to be stalled in the almost done place...

I set up the ironing board to motivate me to iron, but instead, it seems to be suffocating me. If I take that down, I'll have a little more room in there, then I might feel better about hanging out in there, and then maybe I'll get back into the laundry groove...

  21. I have TERRRRIBLE wallpaper in my bathroom. It really keeps me caught up on all my laundry chores because I just hate being in there.

  22. Did I just say bathroom? There's terrible wallpaper in there, too. But I meant laundry room.

  23. I have a laundry closet. I fold on my couches. Now quit whining and put your clothes away.

Wait - it's Sunday. Put your clothes away tomorrow.

  24. I am sooooo with you, I HATE putting the laundry away. We constantly have stacks of clean laundry that sometimes NEVER get put away, we just pick through them til it's gone!
