"...and her strength went from her."

Do you remember the story from the Old Testament about Samson and Delilah? Remember he was ultra strong because of his long hair. Then he met up with the harlot, Delilah. She "pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death" to get get him to tell her the secret of his strength. When he divulged his secret, Dirty Delilah betrayed him to her people, the Philistines. He lost his strength, he was captured, and they put out his eyes. Chained to the pillars of a Philistines house, he asked for strength from God one more time. He pulled the house in on top of himself and 3000 Philistines.

I am feeling a little like Samson. I have betrayed my "signature look" to go back to my roots and in doing so, I feel like I have lost my strength.

  3. Oh, for crying out loud - you made yourself sound hideous on the phone. :) You're so not hideous.

Don't you think that would be a great pick-up line? "Hey, baby. You're so not hideous."

  4. Here I was thinking you gave yourself a reverse mohawk or something. Your hair still looks better than mine EVER has in my entire life. You are still the envy of us all. Try harder if you really want to shock us.

A new hair doooo gives you more power when people have to do a double take cause you catch their eye.

Being a brunette myself, I will never say that you looked better as a blonde.

    I love it!

  12. Did you hear what Carronin said Elastic? They're twins now! They're trying to trick us, so we won't be able to tell who's who at the airport! It's like The Parent Trap! I'm the pretty mother, and you're that alcoholic dad Elastic. ;)

  14. Now's my big chance, carrot! I'm going to buy a flat curling iron so I can spiral my hair and assume Annie's charmed life identity. I'll just have to tell people I got saline implants.....all over my body. Especially in the buttocks region.

  15. nice leadup with that dramatic bible story.

must repeat what sodak said, you are hot like wasabi.

i went back to my original hair color last november and felt like my (blonde) "power" was gone for about a week. but then i got so many compliments and THEN i cut bangs and my stock went through the roof. so, my blonde is history. i don't think i'll ever go back. i'll still wish i could pull it off, but dark is better for me.

  22. Oooo...such a creative way to break the news to us! As everyone else has already said, you look fabulous, dahling.

But then, you'd look gorgeous if you were bald.

I think I've decided to like you anyway. =P
