Dear Pampered Chef, I'm still waiting for my endorsement check.

Tonight I am making Chicken Enchilada Casserole, also known as Mexican Mush at our house, from the Fix It and Forget It Cookbook.
I hate chopping, but my new Pampered Chef utility knife makes easy work of it. With this knife I can chop a potato with one hand!
I love that my Pampered Chef utensils are heat resistant. I can leave them in the pan as I cook. I also like that they are black and don't show food stains.
Part of my aversion for cooking comes from fear. I hate touching raw meat. It gives me the heebbie geebbies, big time! With the Pamper Chef Mix and Chop utensil, I just throw the chicken into the skillet and chop it up as it cooks. Works better than just using your spatula.
Mini Me loves to help me cook. She ripped up the corn tortillas before she went to school today. I need to visit Bella's store at Etsy.com again and get my Mini Me an apron too.

  1. I have that cookbook...I should try the mush. I also have the "Lightly" version, too, but I haven't found anything I am excited to fix in it.

I think I would like the mix & chop utensil, too.

Yeah, they need to send you a check. :)

  2. That looks like a great book! And the mix and chop utensil looks like it would be really great. I'm sure your check is in the mail!

  4. I love you Annie. And Pampered Chef.I need a new knife. When I make my salsa I have to practically rip the veggies instead of dicing them with my crappy knife.
Any recommendations on a good knife set would be most helpful.
Is that PC one really good?

  5. How about a video of you chopping a potato with one hand using your PC knife.

I would really like that mix and chop utensil. (I also love black utensils for that same reason--they hide food stains that no matter how hard you scrub you can't get off!!!)

  11. Wanna hear something odd and maybe a little frightening for you? I really enjoy touching raw chicken...of course my mom hates it, so whenever chicken is to cut up...it is my duty. And I love it haha!

  12. Annie, your blog is so cute and personable, and I love the puns with Annie in the word - very clever :)

Girl, get yourself an online catalog show together and sell those mix n chops. If you don't know how to reach a consultant, give me a jingle!

You can get an endorsement check from the company, become a sales cosultant! ;) (Except you can't advertise on your blog if you do...)

  13. Are you saying you can put a whole chicken breast in the pan and that mixy choppy thing will do it for you so you don't have to touch the meat at all? Because that would almost, almost be worth attending a PC party for. Let me know!

  15. That's one cookbook I don't have. I am now sold on getting this book and that mix and chop thingy.

I have lots and I mean lots of stuff from pampered chef. Between that and Tupperware, my family has the cooking thing made easy.

Now if only I had time to really cook.
