Thursday Swap Day

So many bloggers have theme days. I decided I will give it a try and see how it goes.
I have created Thursday Swap Day!

What will you trade me for two Yoga videos on VHS? Anyone out there still own a VCR?
Non-related Update: It's Charm Thursday over at GJSentinel.com. It's the new and improved version of the hamster story. Show me the love and give a clickety!

  1. I still do have a VCR. Do you? Because if so, I have a whole heck of a lot of Elmo videos to pass on, The Fox and the Hound, and a Denise Austin workout. I'll be sitting by the phone because I just know you want these BAD!
    I like this theme!

  2. Oooooh. Good offer. I am going to hold out. Someone out there might have some kung fu videos or Dog the Bounty Hunter bandanas.

"Did you know that Dog the Bounty Hunter is only 5 foot 7 inches tall?"

  5. I really need to proofread before I hit publish.

    Let's try this again.

I have a VCR, but I don't do yoga. The most exercise I get is typing.

I would like to say, Holy Moly! I'm taller than Dog! By 2 inches!

  6. I don't do yoga or I would trade you... something. Sorry!
I think this is a good idea!

  7. Work with me people! You don't have to do yoga, just make me an offer. Your worthless something, for my worthless something.

  8. Sweet! I've got some red and white striped leg warmers and a banana clip.
I've been wanting to try yoga.

  10. I still have a VCR, but my idea of YOGA involves yarn and knitting needles, not twisting myself into a pretzel. Sorry.

  11. I still have a VCR, but have not turned one on in years.
    I don't yoga:(

I think I'm going to like this Thrusday Swap Day.

  12. Dang. I already got rid of my belly dancing video.

  13. Great idea! Yep, I have a VCR! Nope, don't want anything to do with yoga! :D

  14. I have a vcr and am not opposed to yoga!
I'll have to look around for something to swap... the only thing that comes to mind at the moment is a audio cd book my SIL gave me this summer that I never got a chance to listen to...

  15. Love the idea, and we even still have a VCR (remember we still use rabbit ears) but I don't do yoga. Now if it was pilates, I'd think about it.

  16. I am so charmed.
    I extra love the article's totle :D

  17. I don't own a VCR anymore. I can up the ante by throwing in a slew of Living Scripture videos if you promise to share your swap with me, Annie.

  18. There are no takers? Hmmm...I have to rethink and retool this Thursday Swap Day thing. Maybe I'll do a book swap next time. Maybe if the item was more useful. Maybe if I attached a gift certicate to The OG to it.

  19. ---dusting self off from garage grime---
I lied. Elmo videos went the way of DI. However, I do have:
    Pelle the Conqueror
Metropolis (a movie made in 1929)
The Story of Xinghua (chinese with subtitles...I KNOW that one is tempting you)
    The Prisoner of Zenda (1937)
    Fox and the Hound
    Charlotte's Web--the original
    and last but not least...
    A Charlie Brown Christmas

  20. Woohoo! E-Dub is bringing it! Unless someone comes up with some other tempting offer, I'm gonna take you up on that Story of Xinghua. Can you include some crushed fortune cookies with that?

    "Mommy likey movies with subtitles."

  22. carrie, on the Living Scriptures...you got any beyond the first batch? You know, the ones that come with your first mistake, er I mean order? No? I didn't think so....we have no swap then.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I don't think anyone had referred to me "bringing it" before. I feel so hip!

  24. I think this is a great idea. I still have a VCR and I still use it--I do Jane Fonda step aerobics from the tape. (Remember, they can be converted onto DVD) Sorry though can't twist this old body into all those yoga positions!!!

Can't believe Dog the Bounty Huner is only 5'7

  25. Why won't Mile High Mamas accept comments from me? I'm getting an inferiority complex, haha! :0

  26. b.- El Jefe and I sold Living Scriptures in Canada our first summer together. I've got them all.

  27. It's 1:11 on friday and guess what I'm dancing to right now on xm? Smooth criminal.
I'm remembering your video, and wishing I had your phone # so I could call you and sing loudly in your ear! :)

  28. Ding! Ding!

Times up. We have a winner! I will trade my two yoga videos for E-Dub's Chinese feminist movie.

    Woot!

Monday morning it's going in the mail.

  30. I have a VCR! Yay!

This is a fun idea for Thursdays. I need to adopt more themes in my life. I'm just so inconsistent, it's hard to stick with anything. I get bored.

Thanks for letting me unload. :)

  31. P.S. I'm SO GLAD I never posted anything about Living Scriptures. Or Carrie would never speak to me again.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Crap--what if I'd been bluffing?! :)
This is how you're going to rope me into doing some Good Mail, huh? You just want more curry powder :)
What, you don't any of the others?!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Carrie....you still going to speak to me?

  34. I have a hardly used bra to trade with front hook closures.

Yeah. They pushed these Infidel beauties up and then squeezed them together....tightly. I looked like a serving wench from the Renaissance Festival.

  35. I just posted a picture of something to trade today. I haven't learned how to link in the comments, yet, but it's up--come see, maybe you'll want it!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Lisa- Can you send me a link to it? I can't find your blog.
