There are only two kinds of people in the world...

....people who love Napolean Dynamite and people who hate Napolean Dynamite. There is no gray area here. There is no Switzerland. You either love it or hate it.

A blogosphere challenge has gone out to our friend Omar , spear-headed by our own No Cool Story, to finally decide which kind of person he is. In order to do that, he has to see the movie.

Omar, the gaunlet has been thrown. We are all waiting for your answer.

I love Napolean Dynamite. I love it and I've worn the t-shirt. Check out my sister's blog to see her pics from the Napolean Dynamite Festival!

Do you know which kind of person you are?

  2. I was going to say HATE IT just to be controversial.

But I couldn't bring myself to utter those words. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT

If this intervention doesn't work, we may need to have Blog Party '09 in Omar's tv room.

  5. I am a Napolean Dynamite type person. I just love the movie, I am giggling just at the thought of it. If I find out some one has not seen it. I what them to come over and watch it. When it first came out my children watched it all the time. I am thinking this is next movie we need to watch.

  7. I don't LOVE it...but I don't HATE it either. I am a non person, like Coconut Kate. I can find good in Napoleon Dynamite, but it didn't fulfill me when I first saw it. Maybe I need to watch it again with Omar...maybe once wasn't enough.

  9. I like to be difficult. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. There are some funny quotable lines in it but I also can't help but feel sad sometimes when watching it. I guess that comes from being a bit like Napoleon when I was in school.

  12. Coconut and I are non-people. I could take it or leave it. My favorite part is his Ricks tshirt.
I always wonder if Mos like it more than nomo's. I also do agree that any movie you can watch with your teenagers is a good thing. But my kids are 8 and 5 and I don't think they'd get it yet. Are my children the only Mos who haven't seen it?

  13. No! No! No!
    You have to choose.
You are either with us or against us.
    Why?
Why Annie, why does it have to be black or white?
    Because.
    Because isn't a good reason.
    I don't need a good reason.
    It's my blog.
Do you see someone elses name at the top?
    Judithology, Janithology, Jonnithology?
    Nope Anniethology.
    My blog.
    My rules.
    But Annie, be reasonable.
    Reasonable?
    Reasonable!
Since when has reason ever been a part of what I do here?!
    Answer me that! Smarty pants.

  17. anonymous, is that you b.? It's ok to admit you hate it, at least you choose a side instead of sitting on the fence.

Since I planned my family vaction around the ND festival that means I love it more that most people.

  18. Love it... won't say I loved it the first time I watched it, but the second time I watched it I couldn't stop laughing... it just gets better and better each time I see it!

I think it's funny because I see the real life humor in it (after spending 2 years of college in rexburg), but people love it who have never been to places like this, so maybe they just don't understand how "true to life" it is!
