The Week in Good Mail & A Question

I would like to thank Compulsive Writer, Hairy Shoe Fairy, Nikko and Catherine (visit Catherine's Happy Tags blog. They are so cute!) for the Good Mail I received this week. You ladies are fantastic!
I want to know, what is the best compliment you have ever received?

  1. What a cute way to display your adorable Good Mail!!

Hmm...the best compliment I have ever received was when I was told that I was the best friend anyone could ever had. That has always made me smile...even though I feel like I didn't deserve it.

  2. Hard to choose just one! ;) Probably the best compliment I've ever received was that I had a great smile.

  3. Oh....I am always so flooded with good compliments....

"how skinny do you plan on getting?"

"you are the least judgemental person I know"

"It is ironic that you would have a heart problem, since you have the kindest heart I know."

In a wedding party, I was asked to be the Matron of Honor....the brides best childhood friend, who had been offended she was a bridesmaid, at the reception told me, "I am so glad she asked you to be the Matron of honor, I am honored to know you, and she couldn't have made a better choice."

Oh.....and from my good friend Carronin....she has told me more than once that I look like Julia Roberts.....Love her....Carronin, not Julia....well....Julia too...that is why it is so great!

Oh.....Annie once told me I sing exactly like Cher....is that a compliment, I am going to say so?

I am either totally awesome, I have a good memory....or have such a low self esteam, I remember every compliment received......hmmm...something to think about.

  4. i think the best compliment i've ever received was in college when a guy told me that i was classy. it's not a normal, everyday compliment, so it meant something to me and has stuck with me since then.

  5. SoDak-I think you are totally awesome AND you have a good memory.

If I could turn back time... I would remember that I told you that you sing like Cher.

  6. Just can't think of a compliment right now, but I wanted to compliment and thank the good mail girls who've sent a little love my way. Very BIG thanks to each and all of you!

Since I am photographically challenged I haven't posted any photos of the goodness coming my way, but I wanted to make sure everyone knew it was appreciated even if it hasn't been documented in the blogosphere.

    Thanks again--

  7. I think the best compliment I have received is that Sei is lucky to have me. I feel it's the other way around...
    Love your tree.

  8. Not the best in my opinion, but it does happen with regularity if not frequency--You have the cutest little feet!!
But that doesn't really make me feel anything-it's just genetics. Now when people say things about my mad skills that is nice. Or when six year olds compliment my cooking.
I had a boyfriend once tell me that I was "so practical". He meant it in a really flattering way, but it was quite hilarious at the moment.

    Thanks Annie!

  10. I'd say it was that look my husband got on his face when he saw me just before our wedding...just hopelessly in love. I actually wrote a poem about it, lol.

  11. CW's "Good Mail Coordinator"...aww, so true :)
    Annie rocks!

Best compliment, hmmm: my husband and my mom telling me I am a good mom.

  12. I thought of another one, NCS reminded me of it. I love it when people compliment me on my kids. I have been complimented lots of times about how well my children behave, especially during sacrament meeting. One lady said that she wanted to send her kids to M_____ bootcamp to whip her kids into shape. That made me feel good!

  13. A friend of mine just mentioned in an email that during her Sunday school lesson she was supposed to think of someone with integrity, That's right she said she thought of me. *blush* I felt it a GREAT compliment because she is such a hip, cute young momma that knows a lot of people.

    What about you Annie?

  14. people compliment my hair. its straight and dosen't budge. the downside of it is that I can't keep a curl in it and it always slips out of clips and ponytails

  15. When my Dad has told me that I have a lot of my Grandmother in me not only in looks, but in personality. She was my favorite person in the world, and his favorite person in the world too.

  16. There are two that come to mind.

My mom just told me last night that I was doing a good job with my kids. That made me happy.

My other compliment came in a rather backhanded way. I was talking to my boyfriend (way back when I had such things.) and he told me that there were guys in my ward who didn't want to date me because I was "too strong minded." I wondered about it for a while, but now I'm happy about it. At least boys knew I wasn't someone to mess around with. Hows that?

  17. When one of my favorite bloggers tells me that I'm one of their favorite bloggers. It makes my heart SING!

  18. "When I grow up, I want to be you."

Yeah, well, all I can say is "poor kid".

  19. Oh Elastic, you're everyones favorite blogger. *sigh*
I either never get complimented, or I don't remember.
A lot of people tell me I have great kids. I'll take that as a compliment.

  20. My favourite was NCS telling me I had beautiful skin. I was a pizza face in high school so that meant a lot!

p.s. I started a Canadian Chapter of the Good Mail girls. =)

  21. An elderly uncle once told me I look like vanna white. Wait a minute, I'm not sure that's a compliment... or if his eyesight is actually working, well anyway...
